Becoming a Volunteer and Donating Time. One of the most important things you can do for your local Red Cross Chapter is donate your time. The volunteer to paid staff ratio at the Northern Vermont Chapter is 20 to 1, and we are able to provide services to communities in our 5,000 square mile jurisdiction because of our dedicated volunteers.
